Your thoughts are prayers

This is one of our favorite universal principles and one that applies perfectly to the area of relationships.

In one of the larger Unity churches in the country the following song was sung at every service and we want to share these precious words with you:

Our thoughts are prayers and we are always praying.
Our thoughts are prayers listen to what you're saying.
Seek a higher consciousness, a place of righteousness.
And know that God is always there.
And every thought becomes a prayer.

This song is an easy way to remember that your thoughts create your present and future. Your life and your relationships are determined by your choices of thoughts. What you choose to focus and direct your attention to and where you spend your mental and emotional energies -- is precisely what you will attract or draw to yourself. And the Universe always provides.

You are God energy, the creator of your life. You are the one who reaches upward, grows spiritually, and connects with your Higher Self. You create your reality through your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs which determine your vibration and thus the people you attract to your life. Everything in your life comes from thoughts or feelings you have, for your inner world of thoughts and feelings creates your outer world of events, objects, and relationships. Because you create your own reality, you can choose any reality you want.

Now this isn't the first time that you've heard this principle, but have you ever thought to apply it to the area of relationships?

So what are your thoughts (prayers) about relationships? Are they hopeful or despairing?

Do you spend your time thinking about how wonderful the perfect relationship will be or are you feeling like you will never attract that wonderful person?

Suggestions:

Focus your thoughts on what you want to have in a relationship.

Get excited!

Feel good and know that what you want is yours now.

Feel the love of your life with you now.

Dismiss any thoughts of lack which may creep in such as "oh, he or she doesn't exist" or "that there just isn't someone for me because I am too different, or old, or young, or tall or skinny" or whatever else your mind can come up with. Simply let those thoughts go and keep focusing on your desires. Focus only on the feelings you want.

This principle is so simple and so powerful!
